India is all set to play against Bangladesh in a two-match Test series. The first game of this series will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

Meanwhile, the home team will want to win this series and maintain dominance in the WTC points table. Bangladesh will try to repeat their antics from their last away series against Pakistan. The Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side recently created history as they clean-swept Pakistan on their home soil in a two-match Test series.

Kuldeep Yadav seen working on his defence

The Indian team was recently seen practising before the first Test match at Chepauk. In a recent video uploaded by JioCinema on their website, glimpses of the Indian players were caught having a session in the nets.

If the video indicates the team selection for the upcoming match, Kuldeep Yadav might well be in the XI. The Indian left-arm wrist spinner was seen batting and working on his defence in the nets. The India bowler has recently looked a much more accomplished batter, especially in the longest format.

During India's last Test series against England in March 2024, Yadav played some vital knocks lower down the order. His willingness to spend time in the crease and put a price on his wicket earned him the praise of fans and critics.

What will be India's combination for 1st Test vs BAN?

Recently, reports revealed that India might look to play three pacers on the first test along with their two veteran spin-bowling all-rounders, Ravi Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja. However, Kudeep's working on his batting might induce fans to think otherwise. If Kuldeep is included in the playing XI, then India will have to go in with two pacers, and if they still insist on playing three pacers, then it will be interesting to see who among Ashwin and Jadeja misses out.
