In a dramatic turn of events during the seventh match of the ongoing ECL 2024, the much-anticipated contest between the Haryanvi Hunters (HH) and the Mumbai Disruptors (MD) took an unexpected and alarming twist when Elvish Yadav, captain of Haryanvi Hunters and a popular figure on social media, received death threats from the crowd at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium in Delhi.

The match was already generating significant buzz due to the presence of two popular social media figures, Elvish Yadav and Munawar Faruqui, both of whom boast large fan followings from their presence on social media and reality shows. 

Elvish Yadav Gets Death Threats Against Mumbai Disruptors

According to reports of Times Now, the situation turned tense as spectators began hurling threats towards Elvish Yadav. The situation escalated quickly, which caused concern among match officials and security personnel. The atmosphere in the stadium became charged as the threats directed at Yadav were taken seriously.

The organisers, in a swift response to the potential security threat, decided to vacate the stadium to ensure the safety of the players and spectators. The match was eventually continued without any audience in the stands. 

Videos and images of the incident have since gone viral on social media, with many fans expressing shock and concern over the events that unfolded. Despite the disturbing situation, the match concluded with the Haryanvi Hunters securing a thrilling victory over the Mumbai Disruptors by four wickets.  

According to the same reports, as of now, neither Elvish Yadav nor the organisers have issued an official statement regarding the incident.
