It is a dark day for Indian cricket as New Zealand beat the hosts by 25 runs in the third and final Test of the series on Sunday, November 3  to whitewash India at their home.

New Zealand became the first team in history to whitewash India in a three-match series. Following the humiliation, several cricket pundits and fans took to social media platforms to rip apart the team's performance.

Wasim Akram Expresses Interest In India-Pakistan Test Series

The latest to join the bandwagon is Pakistan legend Wasim Akram. Notably, the Indian batter failed to read the spin and collapsed like dominoes on a rank-turner at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Meanwhile, Akram remarked that Pakistan can beat India in Tests on spin-friendly tracks.

“I would want to see a Test series between India and Pakistan,” remarked Vaughan to which Akram replied: “It will be massive. It will be good for the game, for two cricket-crazy nations.”

While Vaughan affirmed that “Pakistan can now beat India on the turners”, Akram added that: “Pakistan have a chance to beat India in Tests now on a spinning track. They have been hammered by New Zealand 3-0 at home.”

Pakistan Shine Against England

It is worth noting that while India are struggling against spin in home conditions, Pakistan, on the other hand, turned the course of the series against England after they produced rank-turners for the last two Tests and it reaped success.

Notably, England were clueless about the spin-friendly tracks and lost the series 1-2, despite winning the first match as it was a flat track at the Multan stadium. Notably, Sajid Khan and Noman Ali were the stars with the ball as the spin duo took 39 wickets of the 40 scalps in the last two matches.
