The much-awaited first ODI between Pakistan and Australia is currently taking place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The last time the two teams played an ODI was during the 2023 World Cup in India when Pat Cummins and Co. successfully defeated them. However, things have changed quite a lot for the Men In Green, particularly regarding the leadership changes.
Now, Pakistan has a new skipper, Mohammad Rizwan, who is leading the team in white-ball cricket after Babar Azam stepped down recently. A very focused and determined captain, Rizwan has vowed to defeat Australia in the series, a feat that was last achieved in 2002 under the leadership of Waqar Younis.
However, before any of that happens, Rizwan's latest captains' photoshoot with Pat Cummins has caught the eye of fans on Twitter and has sent them into a frenzy. Cummins and Rizwan are seen smiling and posing alongside the trophy in the photograph. But what grabbed the attention was that the Pakistan captain's hand was seen right on top of Cummins', and fans began doing what they do: creating memes.

Pakistan Lose Four As Aussies Come Out On Top
Earlier in the game, Australia won the toss and opted to field first against Pakistan. The start differed from what the visitors had hoped, as they lost two wickets early in the game. Mitchell Starc first removed debutant Saim Ayub and then Abdullah Shafique.
Rizwan joined Babar Azam on the crease. However, his time was also cut short on the crease as the ex-captain was dismissed with a beauty by Adam Zampa. The Aussies have brought their A-game, which was evident in Pat Cummins' performance, where he picked up the wicket of Kamran Ghulam for just five runs. At the time of writing, Pakistan is at 98/4, with Rizwan and Salman Ali Agha in the middle.
