'Only Impact Player In The Team' - Mohammad Amir Slams PCB For Dropping Fakhar Zaman

On Sunday, October 27, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) made important changes as they named Mohammad Rizwan as the new white-ball skipper. Further, the Mohsin Naqvi-led board also announced the list of central contracts for the upcoming year.

In the central contract, Babar Azam and Rizwan were the only two players in the A category, while Shaheen Afridi faced a demotion and was placed in the B category. However, Fakhar Zaman hogged the internet as his name was missing from the list.

Fakhar Zaman Dropped Over Controversial Tweet

Zaman, who is one of the key players in the ODI set-up for the Men in Green, was marred with controversy after he posted a tweet criticising the PCB over their unfair treatment of Babar Azam. 

Zaman was served a show-cause notice, but now it seems he has paid a heavy price for his actions. Not just the central contract, but Pakistan announced the ODI and T20I squads for the upcoming tours to Australia and Zimbabwe, and Zaman's name was missing.

Mohammad Amir Shows Support To Fakhar Zaman

Zaman's exclusion from the central contract, left the internet in a frenzy, while several cricket pundits criticised the move. In the latest events, Mohammad Amir, who was also reported to return to the ODI set-up, criticised PCB and termed Fakhar as the only impactful player in white-ball. Set-up in Pakistan. 

"I am surprised that @FakharZamanLive is not in the team. He is the only impact player we have in white ball cricket."

Mohsin Naqvi Opines On Fakhar Zaman's Exclusion

At a press conference on Sunday, PCB Chief, Mohsin Naqvi revealed the real reason why Fakhar was removed from the contract list. Naqvi asserted that tweets against PCB were one of the major reasons, but there are other issues as well.
