Babar Azam has been one of the leading batters of Pakistan for the majority of last decade and enjoys a great fan-following in his country. However, off-late, his form has taken a hit and that has brought lot of criticism on his way, which often gets personal and ugly.
Babar Azam's Father Defends His Son After T20I Setback
The star batter's father now has hit back at those critics after he got dropped from the T20I side. According to a report from Cricket Pakistan, Azam Siddique, Babar's father posted on his Instagram that if someone responds, the former cricketers who are criticising him will not be able to tolerate. He also stated that the ex-players are part of the past and will never play again and should keep that in mind.
"If someone responds, they may not be able to tolerate it. You are part of the past and will never play again."
Babar's father also questioned the credibility of people who are criticising him and urged people to look at their record and then make decision.
"What was their performance during their playing days? Take a look at the PCB website—it's a clear hint for the wise."
Azam Siddique also mentioned that his son will make a strong comeback in T20Is with big performances in PSL and National T20 Cup and also shared his love for his son. He also stated that he is Babar's first and last coach, along maintain that he will speak talking for his son as as his most sincere well-wisher.
"People say that a father speaks too much, but I am Babar's first and last coach. I am his spokesperson and mentor, and his most sincere well-wisher—his father."
Babar Azam will be next seen in action in the ODI series against the Kiwis and would be hoping to answer his critics with match-winning performances.
