The Champions Trophy 2025 has turned out to quite an exciting tournament and after some intense clashes between eight quality teams, two units stand tall in search for the ultimate glory. India and New Zealand are the teams who are going head-to-head and the match will be played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

Pakistan are the designated hosts of the tournament, and at the start of the competition, Lahore and Dubai were the two venues for the final. So, why the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore has been omitted now? Let's find out.

Pakistan Loses Right To Host Final After India's Semifinal Win vs Australia

In the official schedule, it was stated that India will play all their matches in Dubai while one semifinal of the tournament will be played in Dubai and other in Lahore. For the final, it was decided that the Dubai International Cricket Stadium will host it if India qualify, while it would be held at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore if the Men in Blue does not make it to the final stage.

Now, as India have clinched the semifinal against Australia, the final will be in Dubai and as a result, the semifinal between New Zealand and South Africa turned out to the last game of the competition in Pakistan.

The final will be played on Sunday, March 9 and India would be hoping they cross the final hurdle this time and beat New Zealand for the second time in the tournament to clinch the trophy.
