In a recent video that is going viral on the internet, former New Zealand head coach and Royal Challengers Bangalore's ex-Director of Cricket, Mike Hesson, has stated that there should be no place for the players in the team that opt to stat pad and avoid taking an aggressive approach. 

Pakistan cricket team has been facing a difficult time from the time they faced early exit from the 2023 World Cup and their tough time continued in the recently concluded T20 World Cup 2024 as they were knocked out ahead of reaching the Super 8.


Mike Hesson Slams At The Pakistani Cricketers 

Mike Hesson certainly took a 'brutal dig' at the Pakistani cricketers and indirectly targeted Azam Khan and Babar Azam. 

In the recent video, Islamabad United head coach Mike Hesson clearly stated that Players who opt for stat pad should not be included in the team as the players should adapt themselves according to the requirements of the game and play aggressively . 

In the same video, Mike Hesson shared a detail of the challenges that Gary Kirsten will be facing as the head coach of the Pakistan cricket team. 

He also stated that South African legend must adapt his coaching style and make required changes to suit the unique needs of the Pakistan cricket team because every team and every cricketing culture is unique and needs a specific leadership style. 

He also suggested that Kirsten must adopt a strategy that should be centred on active listening and a deep understanding. 

Pakistan will host Bangladesh for a two-match Test series from August 21.
