Former Indian star and two-time World Cup winner Yuvraj Singh recently posted a heartfelt message for India's young sensation Abhishek Sharma after he scored a sizzling hundred against Zimbabwe at the Harare Sports Club on July 7. 

Abhishek Sharma lit up the international stage with his blistering maiden century, helping India level the T20I series 1-1 against Zimbabwe.

After a disappointing four-ball duck in his debut international outing, India trusted Abhishek for another go in the second T20I on July 7. He delivered spectacularly, hitting India’s joint-third fastest T20I hundred in just 46 balls, propelling India to a match-winning total of 234/2.

In his post on X (Twitter), Yuvraj wrote,“Rome wasn't built in a day! Congratulations @IamAbhiSharma4 on the journey to your first International 100! Many more to come.”

Following the match, Abhishek video-called his mentor Yuvraj Singh to share the moment. Yuvraj praised Abhishek for his record-shattering performance, as the young batter notched up a 47-ball hundred in his second T20I match for India. 

This achievement marked a rollercoaster 48 hours for Abhishek, who received his India cap, was out for a duck, and then scored a century, earning him the Player of the Match award.
