Despite producing another match-winning performance with the bat and ball, Hardik Pandya wasn’t too pleased with the effort of his teammates as he asked them to avoid losing wickets in bunches after India thumped Bangladesh to remain unbeaten in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium, North Sound, Antigua.

On a favourable batting surface, Pandya entered the fray when India was struggling at 108/4. The seam-bowling all-rounder settled in quickly, initially rotating the strike before launching an assault on Mahedi Hasan in the 15th over, hitting a six and a four to get his innings going.

His unbeaten 50 off 27 balls was laced with four fours and three sixes. This innings marked Pandya's fourth T20I fifty.

Did Pandya Took a dig at Kohli, SKY?

fter the match, Pandya underlined the areas for improvement ahead of India's next game against Australia. He also reflected on his return from injury and his commitment to performing for the team.

“We as a group can get better in a lot of places, losing wickets in bunches is something we can rectify and get better at, apart from that, we are looking good,”  said Hardik Pandya in the post-match presentation ceremony.

Pandya appeared composed throughout his innings. The Indian vice-captain built a crucial 53-run partnership with fellow all-rounder Shivam Dube

Recognising the need to accelerate, Pandya took charge, and Dube soon joined in, with boundaries flowing freely from both ends. Although Dube couldn't stay till the end, Pandya remained and played a brilliant knock to propel India past 190.
