Durban's Super Giants, the team that failed to make it to the top four in the last season, are going to play in the final of the SA20 2024 against the defending champions, Sunrisers Eastern Cape, on Saturday, February 10th, at Newlands, Cape Town. 

Keshav Maharaj has stepped up as captain this year, but Heinrich Klaasen and Matthew Breetzke have carried the team with their batting prowess. The duo has scored the most runs for the team so far, making them one of the reasons why DSG are playing in the final of the league.

In DSG's recent tournament match, the rising star in batting was seen emulating Virat Kohli's iconic 'ssssshhh' celebration, a clear nod to his admiration for the Indian cricket icon. He has also recently opened up about his love for the Indian batting giant. 

During a recent interview with fellow teammate, Matthew Breetzke was asked about his favourite player, and his immediate response was Virat Kohli. The 25-year-old is fascinated by Kohli's enduring commitment to the game and his unwavering energy on the field.

"It’s Virat Kohli just because of the way he’s performed for so long and how he kept his energy for so long. It’s incredible to play with that intensity and with that expectation and perform day in and day out. I just love that."

In 12 matches, Breetzke has notched up 398 runs, boasting an average of 33.17 and a strike rate of 142.12. Notably, he stands as the fourth-highest run scorer in the tournament and will look to better this tally heading into the final of the competition.
