The 36-year-old, who recently played a crucial role in India’s Champions Trophy triumph, emphasised the significant emotional and mental support families provide to players during intense tours.
The BCCI’s new policy, implemented after India’s 1-3 loss to Australia in the Test series earlier this year, states that players’ partners and children will only be permitted to join them on tours lasting more than 45 days after the first two weeks. Their stay will be limited to 14 days. Kohli voiced his concerns about this new restriction and its potential impact on players’ well-being.

"I don't think people have an understanding of what value it brings to a large extent.
