In a recent news Virat Kohli, has finally opened up about his decision to stay relatively inactive on social media. Speaking at the RCB Innovation Lab's Indian Sports Summit in Bengaluru on March 15, Kohli shared his perspective on the digital world and also offered a glimpse into his personal approach to online interactions.
Virat Kohli's Take On Social Media
The 36-year-old cricketer, who has been a social media sensation, admitted that while technology is a powerful tool, he believes it can be 'destructive' when used aimlessly.
"I don't post on social media much because technology without a goal is destructive. Posting on social media doesn't make anything different in my life. People's comment don't have any reaction on me, so I don't have to post," the 36-year-old said at RCB Innovation Lab's Indian Sports Summit.
This statement came as a response to the growing curiosity surrounding Kohli's recent Instagram activity. It is important to mention that fans had noted that his posts in recent times were primarily paid brand partnerships and promotional content, with little to no focus on his achievement such as India's victory in T20 World Cup 2024 or the Champions Trophy 2025.
It is important to note that Kohli is currently in Bengaluru, gearing up for the IPL 2025. He will join the RCB's training camp at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. His arrival video, shared by the franchise’s official social media handle, went viral in minutes.
