Abhishek Sharma has grown in stature in the last year or so. He first grabbed limelight with a stunning performance in IPL 2024 and then went onto play for India in the shortest format as well. Recently, he hit a superb century against England at the Wankhede stadium and will be one of the key players for SRH in IPL 2025.
SRH Players Show Their Mettle In Practice Match Ahead Of IPL 2025
He has been retained at 14 Crore for IPL 2025, and along with the bat, he can contribute with the ball as well. Now, ahead of the season, the cricketer was spotted bowling in the SRH's practice match. The batters who were in the middle were Atharva Taide and Ishan Kishan.
It was the second ball of the third over and Abhishek Sharma bowled a fuller delivery on middle. Taide tried to work it towards the leg side, but missed it completely and it looked LBW. Abhishek Sharma rightly appealed but the umpire ignored him. It did not go well with Abhishek Sharma and he was seen arguing a bit with the umpire and looked quite frustrated.
At the other other end was Ishan Kishan who performed quite well in the practice game and hit a fifty in that innings. Overall, SRH look quite a well-oiled unit and would be hoping to continue the good work they did in the last season and lift their second IPL title. They have brought in Mohammed Shami to strengthen their bowling attack and it would be interesting to see how things pan out.
