In a recent podcast with Taruwar Kohli, former India batting coach Vikram Rathour offered high praise for India's cricket icon, Virat Kohli. 

Rathour, who has closely observed Kohli’s career trajectory, lauded his leadership and indomitable spirit, which has set a benchmark for future generations of cricketers.

Rathour emphasized that Kohli's influence on Team India extends far beyond his batting prowess. "Virat Kohli is a real leader," Rathour remarked. 


"He brought never give up attitude to the Indian Team. He has installed the mindset of winning Matches from any situation & always put up fight and go for the win," he added.

Kohli's Recent Performances and Upcoming Challenges

Virat Kohli recently delivered a match-winning performance in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa before announcing his retirement from T20Is. He then participated in the ODI series against Sri Lanka, where he scored 58 runs in three innings, although India experienced a rare series defeat against Sri Lanka after 27 years.

Looking ahead, the 35-year-old Kohli is set to play in the upcoming home Test series against Bangladesh, starting on September 19 at Chennai’s MA Chidambaram Stadium.
