Mukesh Chhabra, a popular Bollywood casting director, has sparked conversation by commenting that while Virat Kohli may possess qualities that could make him a successful actor, he should probably steer clear of pursuing a career in films after his cricketing days are over.

Virat Kohli, one of the most successful Indian cricketers, married Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma in a hush hush ceremony in 2017. After dating for nearly 5 years, the duo tied the knot and became one of the most admired celebrity couples.

Notably, Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma have been featured in several advertisement commercials, with the cricketer being the sole face of several mainstream brands as well.

However, despite his decent acting skills, Bollywood casting director Mukesh Chhabra warned Virat Kohli to stay miles away from an alternate career in films.

In an appearance on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, Mukesh recalled meeting Kohli for the first time a few years ago and being smitten by his humble personality.

Chhabra went on to add that Virat Kohli has the charm, acting skills, comic timing, and good looks to enter the glamour world. However, the cricketer is a smart guy and is not cunning by nature.

"He is also so funny. He will dance, mimic, his comic timing is great. He is doing very well in making the country proud; he should stay where he is and not join films. He should not join films even after retiring from his cricket career. He is genuinely a smart guy, not a cunning one," Chhabra said.

Hence, he won't achieve long-term success with this trait, as the acting industry is far from ideal for a man like Virat Kohli.

Notably, Virat Kohli is enjoying his break with his family in London and is expected to be back for the Bangladesh Test series.
