'I Don't Decide...,' Dravid Reacts On Shreyas Iyer & Ishan Kishan's Removal From BCCI Contracts

India registered a thumping series win against England by a 3-1 margin with a massive win at Dharamsala. The Indian coach, Rahul Dravid was naturally very happy with the performance of the team and credited youngsters for showing character and grit after India lost the first Test of the series.

However, the post-series press conferences can be tricky and Rahul Dravid was asked some difficult questions as well. He was asked about exclusion of Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan from BCCI Central Contracts and Dravid was quick to answer that he does not have any say in deciding contracted list of players.

The Indian coach also stated that he does not even know what the criteria is for central contracts and added that both Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer are in the mix and if they stay fit, they can be selected.

"I don’t decide contracts or discuss that. I don’t even know what the criteria is. Both are in the mix and hope they play cricket, stay fit and force the selectors to pick them. No one is out of contention, players without contracts have also played."

Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer will next play in the 9th edition of the IPL for Mumbai Indians and Kolkata Knight Riders respectively.
