Fakhar Zaman was having a disastrous run of form in the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL) for Lahore Qalandars. His woes impacted massively on Shaheen Afridi-led side, who languished on the bottom of the points table.

However, on Saturday, during Lahore’s PSL 2024 clash against Karachi Kings, the Southpaw batted like a beast en route to his first half-century of the season.

The biggest highlight of Fakhar’s knock was the manner in which he thumped Blessing Muzarabani during the 4th over of Lahore’s innings.

Muzarabani, Zimbabwe’s fast bowler, tried to deceive Fakhar with a brilliant slow delivery after seeing him coming down the track. The Pakistani opener was equally clever, and timed it with perfection to slam it long-on for a beautiful six.

Then, in the next over, Fakhar sat down and played a gorgeous scoop against Muzarabani over short fine leg for a four, making it 10 runs in two balls.

Meanwhile, Fakhar had to leave the field after a brilliant 35-ball 54, courtesy of a direct-hit from Irfan Khan which inflicted a run-out.
