India's dynamic wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant has opened up on working with LSG head coach Justin Langer in IPL 2025. According to Pant, who himself had some good things to say about Langer, said he was excited to work with people who shared a similar mindset.

Pant made waves in the IPL 2025 mega auction. He was released by Delhi Capitals in what came down as a shocking development. While DC tried to buy him back at the mega auction table in Jeddah, LSG had the last laugh.

LSG owner Sanjeev Goenka secured Rishabh Pant’s services for a whooping price of INR 27 crore. It is highly likely that Pant will lead LSG in the upcoming season.

Rishabh Pant calls Justin Langer 'passionate'

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant met his future Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) head coach, Justin Langer, on the sidelines of the fifth Test between India and Australia. He revealed hearing good things about Langer’s leadership skills and positive mindset.

"It will be pretty awesome [working with Justin Langer], because what I have heard from people, he's very passionate about the game. I haven't worked with him a lot, but the kind of conversations we had, just the kind of small chats, its always been positive," said Pant.

Langer joined LSG as head coach in IPL 2023. He coached the Australian national cricket team previously. However, that tenure did not proceed as much was expected due to differences of opinion with the board.

Pant receives huge blow during SCG Test

Rishabh Pant had a tricky stay at the crease in the first innings of the fifth Test between India and Australia. He came in a nervy situation as his team dropped to 72/4. Still, Pant came in with good solidity to score 40 precious runs.

Mitchell Starc gave him trouble as a quick bouncer knocked him on the arm and produced a large-sized worrying bruise. The batter received treatment from the medical staff, leading to a significant halt in play. However, Pant managed to get back up and continue fighting for India.
