Tensions flared between Jasprit Bumrah and Marco Jansen when India were competing with South Africa in a Test series in 2022. The Indian spearhead took revenge for the confrontation in the next Test when he cleaned up Jansen with a ripper yorker delivery.

The competition was first set ablaze during the second Test at Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg. In India's second innings, in the 54th over, Jansen bowled a short ball that hit Bumrah on the shoulder. 

The South African seamer repeated the short-pitched tactic, and Bumrah showed no signs of discomfort, brushing it off with resilience. However, Jansen's repeated bouncers seemed to agitate Bumrah.

Jasprit Bumrah's revenge on Marco Jansen

In the next delivery, he attempted a powerful drive but missed it completely, triggering a stare-off between the two players. Both muttered something, charged at each other and were swiftly separated by Umpire Marais Erasmus, who had to step in to cool down the situation. 

Bumrah, however, wasn't finished with the confrontation. In the very next over from Kagiso Rabada, he responded with a top-edge off a short ball, which flew over the ropes for a six.

His revenge was still incomplete. In the next Test played in Cape Town, Jasprit Bumrah destroyed Marco Jansen's stumps with an absolute ripper yorker. Jansen had no answer and walked back to the dressing room in disappointment.
