'He Has Led By Example': Rahul Dravid 'Hails' Captain Cool Rohit Sharma

Team India have reached the semi-finals of the World Cup 2023, and a large credit goes to skipper Rohit Sharma, who has led from the front. The Indian captain has amassed more than 400-runs in the tournament has been an exceptional and inspirational leader for his side.

The Indian side have won all their league matches so far, and will step onto the field on Sunday, for their final match of the league against The Netherlands at the Chinnaswamy stadium in Bengaluru.

Ahead of the dress rehearsal for the semis, the Indian head coach, Rahul Dravid attended the pre-game press conference, and hailed Rohit Sharma's captaincy, calling him a 'true leader.'

"He has been a leader and led by example on and off the field. The kind of starts he has given us has been amazing. He has helped us open the game."

Dravid also acknowledged the fact that Rohit's blazing starts throughout the tournament have helped the other batters to play their natural game.

"We have realised the impact he has had and he has made it easier for other guys with his batting and leadership. He is leading from the front. He has got the respect of the group and coaching staff and it has been a pleasure to see him operate. He deserves all the success."

India will play against New Zealand in the first semi-finals on November 15 at the Wankhede Stadium. The winner of the match will play against either Australia or South Africa in the finals on November 19.
