As the ICC World Cup 2023 accelerates towards its climactic semi-finals, the excitement has reached it’s peak, especially in India, where the tournament's frenzy has intertwined with the festive spirit of Diwali, the festival of lights.

World Cup and Diwali celebrations illuminated Mumbai's Gateway of India

In a grand spectacle that melded tradition with modernity, the iconic Gateway of India in Mumbai transformed into a canvas of cricketing glory. Under the Mumbai night sky, a two-minute 3D projection lit up the historical edifice, marking the start of Diwali and celebrating the thrills of the ongoing World Cup.

This was not just any ordinary display. It was a powerful fusion of technology and emotion, employing 40,000-lumen state-of-the-art projectors, illuminating the Gateway with a brilliance that mirrored the excitement of the World Cup.

The projection displayed the tournament's finest moments, bringing to life the dynamic and emotive journey of the World Cup.

In a unique twist, the Navarasa symbols, traditionally associated with Indian classical art, were reimagined in a cricketing context. These symbols, representing a spectrum of emotions, mirrored the rollercoaster of feelings experienced by cricket fans worldwide during the nail-biting matches.

The campaign for the World Cup, titled "It Takes One Day", resonated powerfully in this display, highlighting the essence of one-day cricket.

As India, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand (still in contention mathematically) gear up for the knock-out stages, this projection at the Gateway of India was more than just a visual feast. Brought together nations and fans in a shared experience of passion and pride.
