Former Indian Pacer Venkatesh Prasad has called out BCCI in open forum. The cricketer has expressed his anger on social media over World Cup ticketing issue.

Prasad who has been vocal of late on Twitter (now X) , has posted his opinion on his social media handle.

Sharing his view, the Karnataka cricketer expressed his sorrowness for the fans who are facing extreme difficulties to even book a single ticket for a World Cup match.Specially it happened in India matches, where the demand goes sky high among the spectators. Referring to the ticket management system, he advised it could have been 'better planned' and more structured. Fans are digitally queuing only to see tickets sold out as soon as the moment their turn comes.

It has been happening ever since, BookMyShow , the official ticket partner has started selling tickets on their platform. Fans, the biggest stakeholder of the game, are frustrated over this mismanagement. They're calling out BCCI, ICC, BMS regarding this. But neither they have issued any statement nor any solution to this. Venkatesh thinks, fans are need to be taken more care of.

In another tweet, he addressed BCCI to bring more 'transparency' to this system and not keep fans in darkness. He has taken the example of the newly built Narendra Modi International Stadium which supposedly has more than 1.32 L seating capacity. But when tickets for India Pakistan were sold, only '8500' tickets(figures not verified) were sold online.

It leaves out a large of chunk of tickets not up for sale. He further stated, not to reserve so many tickets for corporates and members. It deprives millions of cricket fans to watch a World Cup match live from the stadiums.
