After delivering an exceptional performance and contributing to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)'s victory over Punjab Kings (PBKS) at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Yash Dayal effectively silences his critics.

Following the mini auction in December 2023, Royal Challengers Bengaluru faced criticism for including Yash Dayal in their team. However, Dayal answered all critics with his excellent bowling performance yesterday.

Yash Dayal faced a tough outing last season while representing the Gujarat Titans. In a match against the Kolkata Knight Riders, KKR's finisher Rinku Singh hit five sixes against Yash Dayal in the decisive final over and Gujarat lost the game.

Yash Dayal's redemption arc

After the RCB versus PBKS game, Dayal talked about his comeback journey and fulfilling his dream of playing for a top team like Bengaluru. After the game, fellow pacer Mohammed Siraj interviewed Dayal, who opened up about his struggles following that match and how he managed to overcome them.

"To be honest, I had a problem after the match. I was advised not to look at social media. But I did have a look at few posts. I spoke to my family after that. I was hurt by what people were thinking about me," Yash Dayal said.

"Two or three days later, I fell ill. I recovered then and played the match and kept my focus on that. I knew that I am not the first person with whom these things can happen nor am I the last one. So i focused on playing more matches and ensured that I can get into to a headspace to tackle such situations,” Yash Dayal added.
