Almost every fan is happy for Virat Kohli and Glenn Maxwell's friendship, two of the most loved cricketers worldwide, both on and off the field. However, the duo almost collided in a subconscious mind, only before they showed some instinctive maturity to avoid that happening.

While playing their first match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in IPL 2024, RCB decided to bowl first against Punjab Kings in Match 6 of the ongoing edition. The hosts did not take much time to draw the first blood, and it was Jonny Bairstow who fell cheaply.

Bairstow, who played three dot balls earlier, went to charge against Mohammed Siraj, smashing him back-to-back fours on the first two balls in the third over of Punjab’s innings. The Indian pacer came back in style after that, as his clever decision to pull his length back rewarded him, with Bairstow getting a massive top edge after going for a pull.

Kohli and Maxwell, placed at cover and mid-off respectively, were looking at the ball instead of calling for the catch before eventually the former stepped up to grab it.

Meanwhile, Punjab have reached 39/1 after 5.5 overs, with Shikhar Dhawan going strong, having scored 20* off 19 balls. Prabhsimran Singh is batting on another end, making 10* off nine balls.
