'A Lie Can Travel..,' Gautam Gambhir's Big Statement On Middle-Finger Controversy

Former Indian Cricketer Gautam Gambhir is in the news ever since his viral video clip circulated and created buzz on social media. Post this incident, Gambhir had the media interaction back in Sri Lanka. Now, he issues a public statement on Twitter(now X).

Gautam who's in Sri Lanka for his commentary stint with Star Sports for the Asia Cup has been caught in a viral video clip. In the video, it can be seen Gautam was making his way out from the field through the tunnel. Fans in close quarters made some noise which pissed Gautam off and on his way he showed his middle finger to them to display his anger. 

From the video clip, it can be heard that fans are chanting Dhoni! Dhoni! or Kohli! Kohli! to irritate two time World Cup winner. But when Gautam came out to speak to the Indian media present in Sri Lanka, he clarified about his action. He clearly mentioned whatever is seen on social media isn't the truth. It depends on the person how he or she wants to project the issue. He further added it was anti India slogan to which he lost his mind. Specifically they passed some derogatory comments on Kashmir and India. To which Gambhir responded that way and he believes like him any other Indian would have behaved that way only. In future if it happens, he will do the same. 

After all of these happenings, Gambhir took to Twitter he stated

It is not clear what exactly was the reason behind Gambhir showing his middle finger and there are lot of theories going around it in the social media.
