The cold rivalry between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir has always been the talk of the town since the altercation between the two in the IPL match, a decade back. The fight resurfaced when both of them were involved in a heated argument in IPL 2023 after the RCB-LSG game and since then, Gambhir has been teased with 'KOHLI KOHLI' chants wherever he goes. Now, in the India-Nepal Asia Cup game, Gambhir was seen showing middle finger to the crowd that was chanting Kohli's name which is bound to raise a huge controversy.

Gambhir is doing commentary for the Asia Cup 2023, while Virat Kohli is an integral part of the Indian team as they look to lift the Asia Cup title. Both Gambhir and Kohli have time and again denied any rift and have reaffirmed after every controversy that whatever has happened on the field, is just the heat of the moment.

However, all does not seem well between the two, which is pretty evident in many Gambhir interviews and in the on-field tussle between the two. Interestingly, both of them are from Delhi, and Gambhir played the role of mentor during Virat’s early days. One of the highlights of that early bond was when Gambhir sacrificed his 'Player of the Match' award for Virat Kohli when the latter hit his first ODI century.
