Jasprit Bumrah has firmly established himself as a top-ranked bowler, in the world, achieving remarkable milestones and rewriting the record books. In the recent Test match against Bangladesh at Chennai's M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Bumrah added another feather to his cap by becoming the sixth Indian pacer to take 400 international wickets across all formats.

Bumrah's incredible display in the Bangladesh's first innings of the ongoing Test was nothing short of extraordinary. His figures of 4/50 in just 11 overs, with an impressive economy rate of 4.50, played a pivotal role in restricting Bangladesh's batting line-up. His victims included key players like Shadman Islam, Mushfiqur Rahim, Hasan Mahmud, and Taskin Ahmed, demonstrating his ability to dismantle both top and lower-order batsmen.

Former Indian cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar aptly hailed Bumrah as a "bowler without weakness," highlighting his versatility and effectiveness across different conditions and formats.

"We all know about his variations, his thinking - one of the sharpest thinking fast bowlers. We saw a certain amount of meanness as well in the way he bowled to Taskin. But the one thing that came through today was that he is a bowler without a weakness - whatever the opposition, pitch conditions and that's actually the best way to judge greatness. You don't see any weakness at all in this guy. Indian cricket is so fortunate to have him in their side," Manjrekar told ESPNcricinfo.

This is high praise coming from a former player known for his analytical approach and often stringent critiques.

Bumrah Becomes Third-Fastest Indian Pacer To Claim 400 Wickets

Jasprit Bumrah's 400 wickets not only shattered milestones but also showcased his determination to play cricket. In just 227 innings, he became the third-fastest Indian pacer to achieve this feat, trailing only the legendary Kapil Dev and his contemporary, Mohammed Shami.

His performance statistics are nothing short of spectacular: in 37 Tests, he has claimed 163 wickets at an average of 20.49, while in 89 ODIs, he has taken 149 wickets at an average of 23.55. In T20Is, his economy and strike rate have made him a feared bowler, with 89 wickets at an average of 17.74.
