Australia's swashbuckling opener Travis Head has admitted to finding the shorter cricket formats more challenging than Tests. Since making his international debut, Head has been a valuable asset for Australia in all three formats of the game. Renowned for his aggressive stroke play, Head has scripted numerous memorable wins for Australia through his fireworks.

However, the explosive batter finds it tough to adhere to the demands of shorter formats, particularly T20 cricket. In a candid conversation with SKY Sports before the second ODI of the five-match series against England, Travis Head shared his thoughts, explaining the burden of scoring quick runs makes the T20I format a tough nut to crack for him.

On the other hand, he admitted to enjoying Test cricket because the longest format allows him to take his time and build the innings, unlike the T20Is.

"I actually find the shorter formats tough. I find T20Is the hardest because there is pressure to score and you have to strike at 140 or 150. So, there are more expectations from the batters," Head said.

"I find Test cricket some what the easiest because if I am not feeling great I can hang in there; and if I am feeling good, I can score as fast as anyone. Though it's the toughest in terms of the conditions and technique," he added.

How Has Travis Head Performed In T20Is?

Despite finding T20Is tough to get along with, Travis Head has enjoyed stellar success in the format, thanks to his fireworks in the powerplay. Since being promoted to the top order, Head has capitalised on the field restrictions, helping Australia get flying starts in most games.

Overall, the southpaw has garnered 1093 runs at a pretty good average of 33.12 and a blistering strike rate of 160.50. These stats suggest that he has performed admirably in T20Is, establishing himself as a game-changer for the Aussies in the shortest  format.
