Captain Monank Patel, with his fifty, led the United States of America to defeat Pakistan in a super-over thriller in Dallas on Thursday as they go to the top of the Group A table with two wins in two games, making the group dynamics interesting.

The India-born Patel, who put Pakistan in to bat first after winning the toss scored a player of the match winning 50(38), steering the USA ship steadily in the run chase. Although the game went deep into the super over due to late hiccups in the run chase, the US managed to send shock waves in the group.
