In a dramatic encounter that unfolded in Dallas on Thursday, the USA team scripted a remarkable upset, toppling Pakistan in a nail-biting Super Over in Match 11 of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Invited to bat first, Pakistan posted 159/7, with Babar Azam leading the charge with a 44 off 33 balls, supported by Shadab Khan’s quick 40 from 25. Nosthush Kenjige’s three wickets and Saurabh Netravalkar’s two helped contain their total.

The USA started the chase strongly, reaching 104/1 after 13 overs. Pakistan fought back with crucial wickets, but Aaron Jones and Nitish Kumar’s heroics, including a last-ball four by Kumar, pushed the match into a Super Over.

 The USA set a challenging 18 runs in the Super Over and restricted Pakistan to 13, securing a dramatic and historic win.
