'Most Important Currently': USA's Nitish Kumar Involved In Sehwag's Banter On Indian Political Buzz

Lately, politics has taken centre-stage in India despite the ongoing ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024, which coincided with the democratic election results, where the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won majority seats in the Lok Sabha, with Janata Dal (United) chief Nitish Kumar playing the role of kingmaker. 

For the United States of America's second T20 World Cup 2024 clash, which was against Pakistan, former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag pointed out former Canada skipper Nitish Kumar as a key player.

Speaking on Cricbuzz, Virender Sehwag stated how Nitish Kumar (politician) is the most important currently, and that no team is complete without the latter's support, implying that the USA will need the ex-Canada skipper in their playing XI. 

Former India pacer Zaheer Khan also nodded in agreement with his co-panelists.

Interestingly, cricketer Nitish moved to USA from Canada, and made his T20I World Cup debut against his former nation in this ongoing 2024 edition in Dallas, where his current side came out on top.

Having made his international debut in 2009, the 30-year-old featured in 18 matches for Canada between 2012-2019, and played in 5 T20Is for USA this year alone, slamming 518 runs combined (both nations) with four fifties. 

In 16 One-Day Internationals (ODI), the Scarborough-born has 217 runs between 2010-2014, all coming for Canada.
