New South Wales leg spinner Tanveer Sangha and Western Australia's allrounder Aaron Hardie are the new inclusions in the 18-player squad for Australia's upcoming ODI assignments and the World Cup. Both the cricketers are yet to make their international debut.

Sangha has not played any professional cricket for a year due to a stress fracture in his back. Born and brought up in Australia, Sangha hauls from an Indian family that migrated from Punjab’s Jalandhar in the 1990s. His father works as a truck driver, while his mother is an accountant.

Although he is yet to play international cricket, Sangha earned a call for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand at just 19 years of age. He became only the fourth Indian origin player to be selected to play for Australia.

In his first Big Bash League, Sangha picked 21 wickets in 14 games. He was also one of the leading wicket takers at the 2020 Under-19 World Cup, with 15 scalps in six games, including a five-wicket haul.
