After his heroics with the bat against KKR, B Sai Sudharsan has been replaced by Joshua Little as an impact player before the start of the second innings.

With Gujarat Titans, defending 204 on the board, they decided to bring in an extra seamer and as a result, Sai Sudharsan was sacrificed.

This has been a terrific season for Sai Sudharsan, scoring back-to-back fifties. He yet again showed his class against a quality KKR bowling attack, taking them to the cleaners before getting dismissed for a well-compiled 38-ball 53

This is not the first time Sai Sudharsan has been involved in an impact substitute decision. In the first game of the tournament against CSK, Kane Williamson ruptured his ACL while trying to stop a ball from going over the ropes. He landed awkwardly and twisted his knee. That was the first time when Sai Sudharsan was asked to come in as an impact player.

He made full use of the opportunity and scored a gritty 17-ball 22 as GT eventually won the opening contest.

Talking about the ongoing match, the defending champions have posted a healthy total on the board. The foundation was laid by Shubman Gill, and the task was taken forward by Sudharsan (53). However, Vijay Shankar turned out to be the game-changer as he toyed with the KKR attack and blasted 63 off just 24 balls to steer GT Past the 200-run mark.
