The 13th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League season saw defending champions Gujarat Titans get off to a sensational start against Kolkata Knight Riders at the iconic Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, top-order batter Narayan Jagadeesan, playing his first match for the KKR, took a magnificent catch to remove the Titans' opener Wriddhiman Saha, who looked all set for a big score.

After opting to bat first, Gujarat Titans had a steady start to their innings, courtesy of a fantastic opening stand between Saha and Shubman Gill. Thanks to the dynamic batting duo, the Titans breached the 30-run mark, without losing a wicket, inside the first four overs.

However, KKR skipper Nitish Rana's decision to introduce his trump card Sunil Narine into the attack proved to be a masterstroke, as the ace spinner removed Saha for a run-a-ball 17. But a majority of the credit of Saha's dismissal must be given to Jagadeesan, who took a fabulous diving catch after running a few yards backward.

However, after Saha's departure, Gill and promising batter Sai Sudharsan steadied the ship for the hosts, stitching a priceless 67-run stand for the second wicket.

As of writing, the Titans are 132 for 3 at the end of 15 overs, with Sudharsan and Vijay Shankar batting on 46* and 3*, respectively.
