Yashasvi Jaiswal continued his rich vein of form heading into the third IPL game of the season. He started the IPL 2023 with a blistering half-century against SRH, and scored yet another fifty against a struggling Delhi Capitals to setup a famous win for his side.

Yashasvi Jaiswal has formed a fearsome opening partnership alongside Jos Buttler, as the duo continued the good work and slammed 98 for the first wicket to lay a strong foundation for the RR middle order batters.

Eventually the target of 200 was too hot to handle for DC as they crumbled under pressure and lost the match by 57 runs.

Speaking after the game, Jaiswal looked ecstatic after the win and gave an insight into his partnership with Buttler.

"I am trying to learn and it is very important for me. I am trying to express myself. No, I was not thinking that it can happen. But if there was a loose ball, I would hit it. If there was a chance I would get it. Everything I try to learn from him[Jos Buttler]. The way he practices and plays his game. I was prepared for that, the practice, and when I go there, I can go for it. I knew that I had the practice."

The Delhi Capitals were never really in the hunt chasing 200 as they lost wickets in a flurry and barring David Warner (65) and Lalit Yadav (38), no other contributed as Delhi faltered once again and are languishing at the bottom of the table.
