So, how did he achieve this? The transformation wasn't only built on brutal, unsustainable gym sessions but on incredible dietary discipline. As revealed by his father and coach, Naushad Khan, Sarfaraz eliminated the very staples of an Indian diet. No roti, no rice, no sugar, and no refined flour (maida) or bakery items.

His diet underwent a complete overhaul, focusing instead on, fibre-rich vegetables like broccoli, cucumbers, carrots, and green salads. He used to eat lean proteins like grilled fish, grilled chicken, and boiled eggs.
Notably, he drank green tea and green coffee, replacing all sugary drinks. These clean, low-carb approach, combined with rigorous gym sessions, was the foundation for his rapid and healthy weight loss.

The results were immediately visible as during an unofficial Test between India A and England Lions, where a fitter, sharper Sarfaraz pulled off a breathtaking catch at slips, diving full-stretch to his wrong side.
