MS Dhoni Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery In Mumbai

MS Dhoni, the former Indian skipper has undergone a successful knee injury at the Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai. He was seen struggling with his knee throughout the IPL 2023 season but somehow, managed to play all the games and eventually took CSK to their fifth IPL title.

According to the sources from Hospital and Cricbuzz, MS Dhoni is fit and fine after the surgery and is expected to be discharged from the hospital after couple of days. 

Dhoni was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday, 31st of May and is expected to recover fully in two months time. The 41-year-old Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper has been operated by Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala who is a well-known sports medicine specialist and has treated Rishabh Pant too in the past.

CSK's team doctor, Madhu Thottappil was sent by CSK management to oversee Dhoni's treatment and according to the CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan, Dhoni underwent a key-hole surgery.

This is what CEO Kasi Viswanathan said:

"I spoke to him after the operation. I cannot explain what the surgery is about but we have been told it is a key-hole surgery. He sounded fine in our conversation."

Dhoni has been IPL's most successful skipper as under him, CSK have played 10 finals and have won five trophies. 'Thala' as he is fondly called, promised his fans that he will try his best to play IPL 2024. So, let's hope that he gets fit and is ready to roar for one last time for CSK in the 17th edition of the IPL.
