'I Will Just Follow Whatever He Says...,' Tushar Deshpande On MS Dhoni

Chennai Super Kings seamer Tushar Deshpande said that he trusts his skipper MS Dhoni like a soldier, adding that he just follows whatever the latter says as he is confident that the legendary cricketer will never take him on a wrong path.
Deshpande had a breakout season this year as he finished with 21 wickets in 16 matches albeit at a costly economy rate.
Speaking to the Indian Express following CSK's thrilling win in the final against GT, Deshpande heaped high praise on Dhoni, stating that the talismanic skipper always gives him the freedom to execute his plans.
"You know you have someone who will guide and show the light when things are not going in our favour. He is a selfless guy and keeps things simple. He doesn’t complicate things and will be with you in your bad times. Like a soldier, I will just follow whatever he says. I know he can never take me on a wrong path," as quoted by India Today.
"Dhoni plans are very clear that this is what you need to do and then one has to execute. He will give freedom as well and when needed he will put a word. He told me that I have everything to play at the top, just be calm, take a deep breath," Deshpande added.
Deshpande had a forgettable outing in the final as he was taken to the cleaners by the likes of Sai Sudarshan.
However, he revealed in the interview that Dhoni came up to him and assured him that he won't lose his place in the set-up.
As it turned out, Deshpande's poor effort with the ball didn't cost CSK as they gunned down the target on the final delivery to claim their 5th title.
