It was a day to remember for Tagenarine Chanderpaul who brought up his double-hundred taking his side to 447 before declaring their innings.

West Indies' top order haunts Zimbabwe

After ending the second day on 221, duo of Tagenarine Chanderpaul and skipper Kraigg Brathwaite piled on runs to form an marvellous 336 runs partnership for the first wicket. Meanwhile, both of them batted achieved their personal milestones as the captain thumped 182 whereas the youngster recorded the score of 207 unbeaten after facing whooping 467 balls.

Tagenarine did the job wonderfully well to propel his side to a mammoth 447 for six wickets before declaring. Apart from these two, their was no significant contribution from anyone with the visitors losing their four wickets in quick succession as they were 413 for 5 from 373 for 2.

From the bowling front, Brandon Mavuta stole the show with his figures of 5/140 where apart from Brathwaite, he bagged wicket of every other player. 

Chanderpaul was playing well when was dropped by Mavuta while on the score of 167, as after that he was looking more intentious to count on some runs. Reaching his 200 in style with a six banging Hamilton Masakadza while batting on 199.

Pair of Innocent Kaia and Tanunurwa Makoni, started well for the hosts as they stitched a 63-run partnership batting through tea when the latter departed on the score of 33. However, Kaia didn't got under any pressure and remained not out till the end of the day on 59.

Chamu Chibhabha came and went as he couldn't do much with the bat returning to the pavilion of the score of 9. Chevrons' skipper Craig Ervine batted 32 balls for 13 before he was cleaned up by opponent captain on the third last ball of the day which was a massive blow to hopes of the home side.

Alzarri Joseph and Gudakesh Motie were the other wicket scalpers who reduced their rivals to 114/3 when play came to complete halt.
