The Gulf Giants are ruling the roost in the ongoing inaugural edition of the International League T20 (ILT20) 20223, occupying the first position in the points table. Head coach Andy Flower has credited England opener James Vince for the side's success so far.

Vince, in 5 ILT20 matches, has slammed 229 runs at an average of 57.25 and three fifties. Vince, who is also the Giants' captain, has lost just one match and has 8 points from 5 games.

As per NDTV sports, Flower also had encouraging words for the likes of Shimron Hetmyer, Chris Jordan, David Wiese, and Dominic Drakes.

Here's what Flower said

"Vince's form has been outstanding; he is a high-quality player and he has been pivotal to our success so far. His captaincy has been a positive, Vince has been calm and makes good tactical decisions. And he's led from the front.

Also, Shimron Hetmyer has been in great form and he's working hard too in training and he's reproduced that in the games as well. Our bowlers, who are quite experienced too, are doing well under pressure,"

Apart from international recruits, the former Zimbabwe captain lauded local UAE cricketers as well, particularly Sanchit Sharma.

The Giants will take on the Abu Dhabi Knight Riders in their next encounter on Wednesday evening.
