Haldiram, Glazers among 30 entities to pick up tender for Women's IPL: Reports

In what is coming as a massive development for Women's cricket in the country and world, India's premier snacking company Haldiram has bought the Invitation to Tender (ITT) for owning a franchise in the upcoming Women's IPL. For the unversed, BCCI released the tender document to bid for the team, all of whom will be revealed on 25th January.

Along with Haldiram, the Glazers family also the owner of the popular football club Manchester United have shown their interest in the league.

Previously, it was reported that 8 out of the 10 men's IPL teams are also quite eager to buy a team with just Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants' take still unknown.

With just five teams out for sale, it will be interesting to see who gets the deal with about 30 companies buying the document. The last day of submitting the technical bid is 23rd January.

A few days back, BCCI sold the broadcast rights of the league for a whopping ₹ 951 Crore to Viacom18 for the next 5 years i.e 2023-2027 which will see the overall value rise exponentially.
