The action shifts to Showground Stadium, Sydney in the Big Bash League as Sydney Thunder battles against Perth Scorchers in the 39th match that will have a lot at stake.

The Scorchers are on the top of the table with as many as seven wins from nine matches, keeping them at top of the table with 14 points to their name. On the other hand, Thunder are fourth-placed with 10 points that they earned after winning five matches from nine games.

The league is only getting tougher and tougher each passing day as the qualification scenario for teams is getting more complex. In their previous respective games, the Sydney-based side were stunned by their twins, Sydney Sixers who won by seven wickets within 17 overs. However, the return of David Warner is going to be a big boost for them as they look to fill the hole left vacant by Alex Hales.

Contrary to Thunder, Perth had a decent outing as they got better of Brisbane Heat by eight wickets that too inside 17 overs.
