With the IPL 2025 likely set to resume later this week, ace pacer Arshdeep Singh has likely confirmed that the suspended match between Punjab Kings (PBKS) and Delhi Capitals (DC) will be replayed in full, and not continued from where it was halted. The venue for the clash is also being shifted from Dharamshala to a new location.
Arshdeep Singh Reveals
In a video posted to on his Snapchat account, Arshdeep Singh was seen talking in Punjabi and he also provided an update in funny mood. “The venue has somewhere else. The match will start from the start,” he said.
Adding a light-hearted note, the left-arm pacer added, “Hopefully, we will be at 120 in 10 (122/1 in 10.1). We had lost 1 wicket; this time we won’t lose even 1 wicket.”

What Happened In PBKS vs DC Match On May 8?
The original fixture between PBKS and DC was being played at Dharamshala before it was suspended midway due to rising tensions between India and Pakistan. The incident led to a temporary halt of the IPL for a week.
However, with a ceasefire agreement now in place between the two nations, the BCCI is pushing to resume the tournament swiftly, with reports suggesting the league will restart on May 16 and conclude with the final on May 30.
Sources also indicate that the PBKS vs DC game will be the first match once the tournament resumes. However, there is still some uncertainty regarding the final decision. Some reports have claimed the teams could be awarded one point each instead of replaying the match.
If that happens, Punjab Kings would move to 16 points in 12 matches and sit 3rd on the points table, while Delhi Capitals would have 14 points and be in 5th place.
The BCCI is expected to announce the revised schedule and venue details in the coming days. Clarity on the availability of foreign players is also awaited, which could play a crucial role in team strategies.
