Indian seamer T Natarajan is hopeful that he will make a comeback in the Indian team on the back of good returns with the ball in this year's IPL.

T Natarajan came into the limelight with his brilliant performances in IPL 2020, which also led to his international debut in Australia.

The left-arm pacer was performing well in the International arena as well as in the IPL until he was forced to take a break due to a knee injury he suffered in the first leg of the 2021 IPL season.

But he stormed back into IPL 2022, picking up 18 wickets in 11 matches (Second highest wicket-taker of his team Sunrisers Hyderabad).

While interacting with the media, the Tamil Nadu-based cricketer said that he would like to perform well in the forthcoming IPL to make a case for himself in the Indian team.

“For me, the IPL has been the main thing from where I got into the Indian team. So, if I do well in the IPL like last year and stay injury-free, hopefully, chances are there for me to be considered,” T Natarajan was quoted speaking on the sidelines of the Chennai phase final of the Junior Super Kings inter-school T20 tournament on Tuesday.

Known for his ability to bowl slower ones and yorkers at will, Natarajan is expected to make his comeback into team Indian soon and reclaim the position that he never lost.

Natarajan provides the perfect contrast to the current Indian bowling attack which is predominantly right-armed.
