Statistically, Mahendra Singh Dhoni may not be the most successful captain that India have seen, but his legacy has to be the most celebrated one that Indian cricket will ever see.

Since MS Dhoni's retirement, Men in Blue has seen countless debacles as his retirement has collided with regime shift in Indian Cricket.

The regime shift has exhibited many flaws, which never were evident in the MSD captaincy era.

Applauding the enigma named MSD and his contributions to the Indian Cricket, former Test opener turned commentator Aakash Chopra called him 'once-in-a-generation'.

In a video shared on Chopra’s Youtube Channel, he shared his thoughts on Team India having several captains in the last year.

"Dhoni was a once-in-a-generation captain. Firstly, his performance was amazing, and then his presence was amazing. He was an inspiration, he was an institution, and he still is an institution," the cricketer turned commentator stated.

"You get very few people like him. When such people come, it is an era. So it was MS Dhoni’s era. He was a special player and a special captain. Phenomenal, you fall short of words for MS Dhoni, he is that kind of a player," he added.

Under Dhoni, India not only won three ICC trophies but were a force which consistently used to play knockouts. However, since his retirement, various buried demons have unearthed that are causing trouble to Men in Blue in knockout games.
