Day 2 of Ranji Trophy Round-3 was full of performances as some stars showcased their skill set on a day filled with ups and down. With as many as nineteen matches going on, we bring you the best show-stopping highlights.

Avesh Khan's spell hurts Vidarbha

Madhya Pradesh batted first and posted 309 on the board against Vidharba which at one point looked under-par but a jaw-dropping spell by pacer Avesh Khan who gave away 32 runs in his spell of 19 overs, claiming 5 wickets while bowling seven maidens.

His wonderful spell kept their counterparts under check as they were left reeling at 145 for the loss of seven wickets after 65 overs. This helped his side to maintain a lead of 164 runs after the end of the day's play.

Manan Vohra's double-century gives Chandigarh a strong start

After batting for almost two days, Chandigarh are in a strong position against Tripura, thanks to skipper Manan Vohra's double century from 313 balls that propelled his side to 455/3. He was brilliantly supported by Kunal Mahajan with his 162* off 213 balls as they forged a brilliant 377 runs partnership for the third wicket before the latter fell. Vohra's masterclass included 24 fours and two sixes which proved enough for him to conquer the day.

Mumbai's Sarfaraz Khan too good for Tamil Nadu

After Tamil Nadu were folded for 144 in the first innings, Sarfaraz Khan from Mumbai made sure to punish them with his gritty 162 that included 19 fours and a six. His knock helped his side to get to 481, and in reply to this TN are 62/1 by the end of the day.

Sarfaraz has been a solid performer in domestic cricket with incredible scores around the circuit as he has been in the limelight for quite some time knocking on the door of selectors.
