All-rounder Tom Bevan, who entered into the Glamorgan side late in 2022 has earned a two year deal with Glamorgan. The 24-year old academy player hit a prolific 48 in his only Championship game this season. He also hit a brilliant 134 in the One-Day championship against Hampshire.

Despite being an all-rounder, the 24-year old bats at the top of the order and will provide the much needed stability to the county's batting lineup.

Few more extensions for Glamorgan

Batter Billy Root and bowlers Timm van der Gugten and Jamie McIlroy are all set to play for the county for two more years. Whereas all-rounder Callum Taylor and Andy Gorvin have received a year long extension.

Director of Cricket Mark Wallace delighted to have Bevan

"Tom has impressed everyone at the club this season and put in some fantastic performances across both the first and second teams where he has shown he is able to step up a level. We're really excited to see how he progresses over the next couple of years."

Injury concerns for Glamorgan

All-rounder Timm Van der Gugten played for Glamorgan for a while before succumbing to an injury and missed a section of the Championship. Van der Gugten took 24 Championship wickets at an average of 29.5. He also took four wickets in the first One-Day Cup after leaving for The Hundred.
