Malaysia Quadrangular T20I series 2022: Preview, Fixtures, Squads and All you need to know

The Malaysia Quadrangular Series 2022 is all set to kick off on Saturday, July 2, with Malaysia hosting all the matches lasting for nine days. The competition will witness 12 round-robin matches, with the final scheduled to be played on July 11.

The four participating teams, namely Malaysia, Maldives, Thailand, and Bhutan, will be locking horns with each other twice in the competition with the top two teams qualifying for the final. Notably, all the matches of the series will be played at YSD-UKM Cricket Oval, Bangi, Malaysia.

The hosts had recently toured Singapore for the three-match T20I series, which saw Malaysia securing a 2-1 series win against the hosts. However, the other three teams haven't played any T20Is for quite some time now.

While Maldives last featured in the T20 International back in October 2021, Thailand played their last T20I in March 2020. Meanwhile, Bhutan last appeared in T20Is in December 2019 at the South Asian Games held in Nepal.

The series opener will see hosts Malaysia taking the field against Bhutan on Saturday (July 2). Ahead of the much-anticipated series, here's all you need to know about the four-team competition.
