The crowd at Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune were lucky enough to witness Yashasvi Jaiswal's 'Jaisball' live in the ongoing second Test between India and New Zealand.

India, which is in a very troubled situation at home, desperately needs some magic like this from every player. Having already lost two key players, Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal did a brilliant job of taking the team further with his valiant 77 runs off 65 balls. He slammed nine boundaries and three maximums during his time at the crease.

Jaiswal looked in excellent touch, and his wicket came earlier than expected. It almost seemed that the left-handed batter would go on to smash a well-deserving century; however, New Zealand's spinner Mitchell Santner got to him before.

India Lose Jaiswal In A Massive Chase

In the 22nd over, Santner bowled a tossed-up delivery outside off. The ball straightened a bit after pitching. Jaiswal shuffled across the stumps and looked to defend it straight. Unfortunately, he got an outside edge, and Mitchell, at the first slip, took a very good catch. This was a big wicket from New Zealand's perspective, as Jaiswal looked like he could turn things around for India.

Santner Scripts History With First 10-Wicket Haul

Mitchell Santner, an essential part of the team in the Pune Test, bowled a phenomenal spell on Day 2, picking up seven wickets for 52 runs in the first innings, thereby registering his career-best record in India.

Meanwhile, on Day 3, he once again showed his masterclass by troubling the Indian batters; with Jaiswal's wicket, he picked up his 10th scalp of the match. Interestingly, this is the first time he has picked up a 10-wicket haul in a red-ball game for his team.

At the time of writing, India's worries have worsened. They just lost Rishabh Pant for a duck due to a run-out. They still need 221 runs to win.
